Huddersfield Town defender Levi Colwill is delighted to have scored to his first professional goal as his last minute winner saw the Terriers secure back-to-back Sky Bet Championships wins on Saturday afternoon.

The Chelsea loanee latched onto a Harry Toffolo ball to score the winner in front of 2,006 travelling fans at Bramall Lane in a 2-1 win over Sheffield United.

Speaking to #HTTV after the game, he struggled to put into words what it meant to him!

“I can’t explain it. I’m so happy!

“I’ve got to thank the Gaffer and the team for giving me this chance.

“I hope I can score more for Huddersfield Town!

“Just before I scored, the Captain had a go at me and told me I should have won a header, so I was thinking to myself that I need to make it right!

“Toffs turned in and I was like “This is my chance,” so I kept going and screamed “Toffs, set me!” and he did, and I scored, and I’m happy!”

Colwill acknowledged that although the first half saw the team on the defensive, their efforts paid off.

“We defended as a team and we got the rewards for it.

“At half time we said we’ve got to keep working hard to defend and when we get a chance, we have to make sure we take it.

“As you can see, Josh Koroma went forward and scored his chance, and that’s what we have to keep doing.

“We conceded at a rubbish time, but we kept grinding because we knew we needed this result.

“It’s a big result for us and we’re chuffed!”
