Huddersfield Town forward Josh Koroma says he’s excited to have bagged his first assist of the season after the team achieved their first win of the Sky Bet Championship season.
Koroma set up second half substitute Duane Holmes as the visitors were piling on the pressure, resulting in a pass that was turned in by Sepp van den Berg with 10 minutes to go.
Speaking to #HTTV after the game, he discussed the effort the team put in to achieve the win.
“I told the boys already I’m claiming that as my first assist of the season, but everyone ran their socks off.
“We did against Derby; we did against Fulham - the latter we weren’t good enough – but that’s the beautiful thing about the Championship.
“Games come thick and fast, so gratefully we got the result today.”
The forward acknowledged that following Saturday’s result, every player dug deep to turn the tables in Tuesday evening’s game.
“Good teams know how to win when they’re playing well and good teams know how to win when they’re not playing well.
“The minimum we require from ourselves is work hard for the team and work hard for each other.
“We’ve done that and we got our reward in the end.
Koroma also commented on how the team will build on the positive result when they take on Sheffield United on Saturday 21 August 2021.
“Sheffield United – a team just come down from the Prem.
“It’s not going to be an easy game, but we’ll recover well, work hard, and hopefully get three points there.”
