Huddersfield Town midfielder Duane Holmes is delighted to have helped his team to victory by scoring his first goal of the season in the Terriers’ 2-0 win over Hull City.
The win saw Town extend their unbeaten Sky Bet Championship run to three, in front of 17,510 fans at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Speaking to #HTTV after the game, he commented on how pleased he was to get his first goal under his belt.
“It’s nice to score, I prefer just getting tap ins to be honest!
“It’s nice to score, but it’s about helping the team and I’m glad to have done that. I’ve been patient and waited for my chance.
“Hopefully I’ve given the manager a decision to make.”
Holmes also commented on how much the win meant to the team.
“Obviously, we’re delighted to win and keep the good run going.
“Everyone’s worked so hard over these last two weeks over the international break, so it’s nice to top it off with a win.”
Town have a quick turnaround for their next game, hosting Birmingham City on Wednesday 20 October 2021. For those of you who haven’t got your tickets yet, Duane has some words!
