Huddersfield Town captain Jonathan Hogg was in jubilant mood after scoring the only goal in our 1-0 home win against Millwall.
Speaking to HTTV at full-time, The General was beaming as he described his mood and how the Town players were feeling in the dressing room.
“I’m absolutely buzzing to be honest. It was a massive three points for us to get back on track after the international break and get the points on the board. It’s a nice feeling.
“We had to make sure when we were back here at the John Smith’s Stadium we turned it around, give our fans something to cheer about and get some more points on the board.
“I think the lads played really well today. It was tough, we had to dig in but we showed character and kept believing in what we were doing. Points on the board again, so happy days.
“The lads will be buzzing in the dressing room and I can’t wait to get back in there. “
Looking back on his winning goal, Hoggy gave a shout out to Assistant Coach Narcís Pèlach for his input on set pieces after heading in from a Sorba Thomas dead ball.
“How pleased do you think I am? It doesn’t happen very often does it! Two in one year, breaking records still!
“Maybe the set piece coach Narcís can have a bit of credit for it because he’s seen what I can do from headers. To be fair I’ve been close a couple of times this year but it’s nice to see one go in!”
