Huddersfield Town centre-back Matty Pearson spoke to HTTV after our 0-0 draw with Luton Town in the Sky Bet Championship.

Reflecting on the game, Matty Pearson pointed to the weather as a telling factor in the draw away to Luton Town when speaking to HTTV at full-time.

“It was a tough game. Luton know how to play the conditions, we found it tough the first half but the second half we had chances and in the end it could’ve gone either way.

“You can’t see it as much through the camera, but the wind and rain is all blowing in one direction and first half we were having to play in to it, and second half it was behind us. I think that played its part today and 0-0 was probably a fair result.”

Pleased with the result and Town’s start to the season, Pearson said it was nice to visit his old club for the first time and highlighted the clean sheet heading in to the international break.

“Solid end to a good week with a 0-0. Every team can’t win every game, sometimes it goes like that. It was a clean sheet, we haven’t had one of them for a while and I think it’s good to go in to the break on the back of that.

“It was nice to see familiar faces. Luton was brilliant for me and it was nice to be back. I’m at Huddersfield now though, so let’s look forward to the week off now and get ready for the games coming up in the rest of the month.”
