Huddersfield Town midfielder Lewis O’Brien was disappointed with the full-time score after the team’s performance against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.

It was the Terriers’ first Sky Bet Championship game back after the international break, and saw an end to their unbeaten run.

Speaking to HTTV after the game, O’Brien was quick to comment on how the team were feeling.

“Obviously we’re very disappointed that we didn’t come away with any points after all the hard work that we put out on the pitch, but they were a great side.

“You can see that they deserved to pick up the points today.

Despite the result, it was a good performance from the Terriers, and the midfielder explained his frustration with Stoke’s equaliser.

“We’ve worked so hard over the international break on everything, and I hope it showed today.

“For them to score straight after we scored is a hard one to take.

“It takes the momentum out of the game and gives it back to them, especially when we’re away.”

Town are back in action on Tuesday 14 August 2021, when they travel to face Blackpool.

The 22-year-old says they’ll go away from today, recover, reset, and go again.

“Tomorrow’s all about the recovery and looking back on the game – what we did well and what we didn’t.

“After tomorrow it’ll be all focus on Blackpool.”
