Town go into Tuesday’s game looking for their first win of the new season, following a draw and a loss in their opening two games.
Preston are also searching for their first win, having lost 2-1 to Reading on Saturday 14 August 2021.
THE OPPOSITION
Preston finished last season sitting in 13th place of the Sky Bet Championship table, taking 61 points from 46 games.
Following the conclusion of the 2020/21 season, the Lilywhites appointed interim boss Frankie McAvoy as their permanent Head Coach.
McAvoy had originally stepped up temporarily in March 2021, following the parting of ways with then Head Coach, Alex Neil.
