Carlos Corberán has provided the latest Huddersfield Town team news ahead of Tuesday evening’s home game against Preston North End at the John Smith’s Stadium.
The Terriers will be looking to move on from Saturday’s defeat to Fulham and get their first win of the new Sky Bet Championship season in Tuesday’s 7.5pm kick-off.
The start of the season has seen four First Team players out with COVID-19, but two of them should be reunited with fans come Tuesday.
“All the players available before we played Fulham are available.
We are going to add Danel Sinani, Lewis O’Brien and Lee Nicholls.
“They are all going to be available.”
Unfortunately, the remaining two players, Josh Ruffels and Harry Toffolo, will be out for a while longer.
“Josh Ruffels hasn’t starting training yet, he had more symptoms while he’s been off, so he needs a slightly longer recovery.
“Harry Toffolo is back training with the team, but he needs longer to follow the protocols before he can be selected.”
Elaborating on the rest of his squad, Town’s Head Coach provided injury updates on Pipa and Rolando Aarons.
“The only player that we are going to lose from Saturday’s list is Pipa.
“He’s had an injection to try to improve his problem.
“He’s going to have a second injection which we hope will help him, if it doesn’t, he will need surgery.
“Rolando Aarons played a game with the B Team.
“He played 45 minutes.
“Unfortunately, he missed all of pre-season, so he’s a player who’s minutes we need to increase.
“He’ll be playing with the B Team until he’s ready to play with the First Team.”
The Spaniard also commented on Saturday’s performance against Fulham.
“I think the first minutes of the game, the team worked really well, but that was only 10 minutes out of 90.
“Fulham’s first goal decreased the confidence of the team.
“Ryan was trying to avoid a corner and it was a mistake.
“Our pressing with the right winger didn’t work, and they created a chance from it.
“That goal started to place some doubts and helped Fulham with their pressing.
“We needed to be more aggressive with our press.
"Our work now is to make our performance better so that it represents us and our fans better.
"It's important that we react to Saturday, and that we show our reaction."
