An update on how Town’s players are performing at their loan clubs

- Round-up of Huddersfield Town’s loan players
- Both First Team and Academy players excelling at other clubs
- Check out their progress below!

Huddersfield Town currently have 11 players out on loan or work experience during the 2021/22 season to further their experience of First Team football - and they're making a real impression!

That number includes several Young Terriers spending time in non-league to further their development and help them gain senior experience.

One of the key parts of the Academy’s philosophy and development is to give youngsters different tests and challenges to get them used to playing First Team football.

With that in mind, here’s our loan watch round-up!

Rarmani Edmonds-Green - Rotherham United

The 22-year-old joined the Sky Bet League 1 side on a season-long loan ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Edmonds-Green has made 10 appearances across all competitions for the Millers so far, whilst also being an unused substitute on a further three occasions.

The defender has impressed of late, and scored his first goal for Rotherham in their 2-0 win over Cheltenham Town - you can watch it below!

Kieran Phillips - Walsall

Phillips is in fine form at Walsall, appearing in every game so far.

The forward has been played upfront and on both the left and right wing, netting netted six goals and one assist in the process.

That includes a goal against Brighton & Hove Albion’s Under-23s in the Papa John’s Trophy, and two goals in penalty shootouts.

The 21-year-old has now scored four goals in his last six games at the Banks’s Stadium, his most recent of which came after only 28 seconds!

Romoney Crichlow - Swindon Town

Having joined on a season-long loan, the defender has continued to build on a promising start.

The 22-year-old has played in every game so far since his arrival, and a run of four unbeaten games, including back-to-back wins, sees Swindon sit in the third spot of the Sky Bet League 2 table.

Crichlow has continued to impress Swindon fans, in part thanks to moments such as this fantastic run below!

Matty Daly - Hartlepool United

The midfielder has made 11 appearances in all competitions since linking up with Hartlepool on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old has scored five goals across the Club’s Papa John Trophy and Carabao Cup ties.

That includes their most recent Papa John Trophy game against Morecombe, which saw Matty score a brace to take the game to penalties, before also netting his penalty!

Jacob Chapman - Gateshead

One of three goalkeepers currently on loan, Chapman has started every game so far this season.

A run of three successive wins sees the Tynesiders currently sit fourth in the Vanarama National League North.

One of those wins, a 3-0 victory over Gloucester, saw the 20-year-old claim his first clean sheet of the season so far.

That same performance saw him named in the National North’s Team of the Day!

Ernaldo Krasniqi - Falkirk

The Under-19 midfielder has made appearances, including two starts, for the Scottish League One side so far.

Standing at 6’5” tall, Krasniqi has impressed Falkirk fans during his time on the pitch.

Michael Roxburgh - Northallerton Town

Following the conclusion of his work experience at Billingham Town, Roxburgh joined EBAC Northern League Division One side Northallerton Town at the start of October 2021.

The Under-19s ‘keeper made his first appearance away to Newcastle Benfield, which saw Northallerton walk away 3-1 winners.

Max Dearnley - Ossett United

Our third goalkeeper out on loan, Dearnley joined Northern Premier League Division One East side Ossett United on a season-long loan soon after signing.

Dearnley made nine starts for the Sheepicorns to date, before being forced to the sidelines with a finger injury.

He’ll be looking to take back the no.1 spot on his return.

Shane Maroodza - Ossett United

The Under-19 defender joined Ossett for his first experience of senior football in October 2021.

Maroodza made his debut in a 3-1 FA Trophy Second Qualifying Round loss to Mossley AFC.

Nassim Kherbouche - Farsley Celtic

Kherbouche joined Farsley on a 28-day loan on 8 October 2021.

The B Team defender will be pushing to make his first start for the Vanarama National League North side.

Connor Shanks - Nuneaton Borough

Shanks impressed the management at Nuneaton when he grabbed a goal and an assist as a substitute in the B Team’s 2-1 Premier League Cup win over Birmingham City, which was played at Nuneaton’s Liberty Way ground.

He went on to join the Boro on loan until 17 October inclusive.

The midfielder impressed immediately, scoring his first goal and getting two assists in his debut game, before going on to win the Club’s Player of the Month award.

David Adewoju - Ossett United

Adewoju was on work experience at Ossett United until he switched places with Maroodza.

The Under-19 defender made five appearances in his time there, and won Man of the Match following his debut outing against Frickley.
