Town fans and players to pay respects at home on Saturday

Saturday’s home fixture against Millwall will be used to commemorate Remembrance Day.
The Club will make several tributes to honour the work done by the Armed Forces and remember those who have given their lives protecting our country.
Collectors for the Royal British Legion along with cadets will be around the John Smith’s Stadium on 30 October 2021 to receive donations towards their great cause.
Alongside this, a special poppy banner will be on show in the centre-circle from 2pm – a sign of the Club’s respect. The Captains of both teams will also lay a poppy wreath on the pitch.
Before kick-off, Dave Horan, cornet player for Terrier Brass, will play ‘The Last Post’ on the pitch prior to the minutes silence, which of course, will be observed at the John Smith’s Stadium.
The poppy emblems placed on the shirts of the Town players will be auctioned off by Matchworn Shirts after the game to raise money for the Royal British Legion.
Additionally, special poppy bin badges featuring the Town crest are still available via the Royal British Legion online poppy shop, so you can support both Huddersfield Town and our fallen heroes on Saturday.
