- The aim is to raise awareness of sexist abuse in the game
Huddersfield Town is proud to support the #HerGameToo campaign; a new initiative pioneered by female football fans to raise awareness of sexist abuse in the game.
The movement, founded by Bristol Rovers fan Caz May alongside nine other female football fans, has gained huge momentum on social media thanks to a video launched on the Twitter handle @HerGameToo.

Everyone at the Club is proud to support this campaign as part of our long-standing commitment to female football fans.
In September 2019, the Club became one of the early supporters of the ‘On the Ball’ campaign, making free sanitary products available in female & accessible toilets around John Smith’s Stadium on match days.
Alongside the Huddersfield Town Supporters’ Association (HTSA), we’re also a long-term supporter of the ‘Women at the Game’ initiative, dedicating specific match days to raise awareness of the campaign and holding bespoke events to promote the importance of female fans.
We’ve forged closer links with the Huddersfield Town Women’s Team in recent years, which has seen the squad train at Canalside and play their first ever game at the John Smith’s Stadium!
The Town Foundation – our official charity – is also very active in encouraging female participation across all its programmes, on top of running bespoke activities such as the Women’s Football Academy, Female Football Development Centres for under-10s to under-16s and delivering the FA’s Wildcats programme.
Internally, the Club is currently working on a new policy to help staff members going through the menopause too and encourages staff to participate in a Female Mentoring Programme with local partner schools.
