George Danaher reviews Bradford City win
- Town’s Under-17s Coach on Bradford City victory
- Danaher discusses team adaptability
- Ernaldo Krasniqi, Conor Falls and Brahima Diarra all on scoresheet
Huddersfield Town’s Young Terriers were victorious in their West Yorkshire derby against Bradford City at Canalside on Saturday morning.
While the first half was a quiet one, Ernaldo Krasniqi, Conor Falls and Brahima Diarra all found the back of the net in the second half to secure victory.
Saturday’s result meant the young side have now won three games in their last three as they look to carry on their good run of form heading towards the back end of the season.
Under-17s Coach George Danaher was pleased with how his side reacted to the challenge.
“The game was good, it was a good challenge.
“The boys reacted well to some changes at half time, which ended up being a vital part of how we won the game.
“The lads need to be able to take on the information and then go and produce it on the pitch and they did this very well.”
The game against Bradford City was a West Yorkshire derby and Danaher wanted to emphasise the importance of the game to the lads.
“We tried to put real emphasis on winning the game and that's something which we try to do towards the end of the season and put real demand on how the lads manage the game at key times.”
The Town Coach had plenty of positives to take from the game and wants the lads to take confidence from the win when they face Lincoln City next weekend.
“The biggest positive from the game was the boys were able to adapt and change at half time to a new shape, which allowed us to attack in better areas.
“Sometimes in football the first game plan doesn’t always go right, so I think it’s important players can adapt, and I think they did this really well to end up winning the game.
"The lads can take confidence from this game into Lincoln and it’s a game where we will go there and try our best to perform.”
