Huddersfield Town midfielder Duane Holmes is pleased his side were able to walk away with all three points on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers beat Bristol City 3-2 away from home, seeing themselves secure their first win in four.
Speaking to #HTTV, Duane commented on how he was feeling after the game.
“The goal that we gave away is poor, really poor.
“Apart from that, we dominated the first half and made some good chances, and then to come out in the second half and score two quick goals sets us in the right place.
“At the end, it’s just a bit of game management – poor decision maybe to press when we should have just sat in – but ultimately, it’s three points at the end of the day.”
The midfielder also commented on bagging Town’s well-deserved equaliser.
“It’s something we’ve worked on all week, about me and Lewis staying wide and stretching their midfield.
“We know that if we moved the ball from one side to the other there would be chances and when you get Toffolo in those positions you know that the delivery’s always going to be good.
“It’s about getting into the box and helping Wardy out, and thankfully I was in the right place.”
Holmes was also quick to comment on the quick thinking that led to him being in the right place at the right time!
“I said to Wardy in the dressing room, I think he’d just pressed the goalie and sprinted back to the halfway line and then tried to run in behind again.
“I could see he was a bit tired, so I thought I’m going to run in and try and get in front of him and make the front post.
“Once you get there, it’s just about being cool and putting it away, and I did that!”
