Huddersfield Town Manager Danny Cowley was really pleased with his side’s performance against Reading as they picked up another point in the fight for Sky Bet Championship survival.

The Terriers drew 0-0 with Reading, who came into the game off the back of a 5-0 win against Luton Town, and put in good value for the result, creating a number of chances.

When speaking after the game, Town’s Manager gave his thoughts on the draw.

“It was a good performance tonight. We were resolute defensively but much better offensively than we were Saturday.

“We created an awful lot of chances tonight, enough chances to win more than one match, but we weren’t clinical or ruthless enough.

“We always say to our forwards, you have to miss them to score them; that was the only criticism from us tonight, we just lacked that ruthless edge.

“Collectively we had a really good control against a dangerous Reading team.”

The result also meant that Town have kept up three consecutive clean sheets in the Sky Bet Championship.

Danny Cowley was quick to heap praise on his side’s defensive efforts.

“We’ve got a unity and a togetherness. Jon Stankovic came in today and he’s just a true professional.

“He was exceptional tonight; such a good performance both defensively and with his use of the ball; it was a really good performance from him.

“Trevoh did really well at right-back, Schinds stepped up when you need him too; it was a really good display tonight.

“I think it was worth more than a point, but we take another point, three unbeaten, three clean sheets in an important part of the season and it sets us up nicely for an important game on Friday against Luton.”
