Huddersfield Town Head Coach is expecting a tough game against Reading at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday 28 August 2021.
Town go into the game after narrowly missing out on progressing to the Third Round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday 24 August 2021.
Carlos commented on how he thought his side played against Everton.
“At the start of the game, we didn’t play with enough stability at managing the ball.
After they scored their first goal, we started to grow into the game and create chances. The second half was exactly what we wanted for the first part, we were taking control of the game and creating chances.
“They lost a player, and maybe we didn’t create enough calm after that, we allowed them to counter attack.”
Looking ahead to Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship game, Town’s Head Coach says he’s expecting the Royals to be a difficult opponent.
“I know how tough the game with Reading is going to be.
“Only two teams have won three games in a row – one is Fulham and the other is West Bromwich Albion.
“It’s a reality of the Championship, that every game is going to be a difficult game.
“Last year we played two games against Reading and didn’t win either, which proves that Reading are going to be a hard team to face.
“We are going to be as focused as we can to show all our strengths and try to reduce the options of our opponents.
The Spaniard also provided the latest team news, including an update on Pipa’s recent surgery.
“Pipa’s surgery went well.
“Now he’ll do a week without any movement, after that it’ll be about eight weeks until he can do any type of exercise.
“It’ll be 12 weeks before the doctors will consider him coming back to training with the group.
“Josh Ruffels is back working with the team.
“Aaron Rowe is continuing with the same injury, he’ll come back after the international break.”
