Two changes made to the starting line-up
- Huddersfield Town side named to face Blackburn Rovers
- Head Coach Carlos Corberán makes two changes to the side
- Josh Koroma and Tom Lees return to the starting line-up
Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán has made two changes to the starting line-up for today’s Sky Bet Championship game against Blackburn Rovers; 2pm kick-off at Ewood Park.
Unfortunately, Danny Ward is unavailable today due to the illness (non-COVID related) that forced him off in the 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Thursday. As a result, Josh Koroma comes into the side for his first start in four games.
The second change to the team sees Tom Lees return, having successfully completed concussion protocol following his withdrawal in the Boxing Day win over Blackpool. He replaces Ollie Turton, who is a substitute this afternoon.
There are two former Blackburn players in Town’s squad. Matty Pearson started his career at Ewood Park, coming through the Academy and turning professional without ever playing a competitive game for Rovers. Jordan Rhodes, who is a substitute again today, scored 85 goals in 169 Rovers appearances between 2012 and 2016.
Carlos Corberán is not at Ewood Park today, having tested positive for COVID-19. Carlos is well, and we look forward to his return.
Alongside Ward, we are missing Álex Vallejo (knee), Jonathan Hogg (knee), Rolando Aarons (knee) and Naby Sarr (back).
