Ollie Turton loved the post-match scenes celebrating with the Town faithful after the hard-fought 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest!

The 29-year-old defender came in for his first start in four games and played well as the right back in a 4-3-3 formation against the Tricky Trees.

“I’m very tired, but obviously buzzing with the result! The lads put in some shift to get that result, and now we have happy travels home,” Ollie told HTTV post-match.

“Every game that we play in is tough, but we had to work especially hard for that one. I think we fully deserved it for how we put the shift in.

“At the end then, when we were all celebrating together, it was brilliant. That’s what we all play for and want – nights like this!”

The win in the Midlands was Town’s third successive Sky Bet Championship win – a first under Head Coach Carlos Corberán – and ensured the Club ends 2021 in the Play-Offs.

Ollie continued:

“We want to continue to be hard to beat and score the goals we have recently. I thought Duane’s goal was brilliant (tonight).

“We wanted to try and get the momentum building and I think it’s helped that we’ve been able to play the games instead of them being called off. We want to keep playing the games and getting results on the board. We want to build on this now.”
