Huddersfield Town continue their Sky Bet Championship campaign when they welcome Birmingham City to the John Smith’s Stadium on Wednesday 20 October 2021; 7.45pm kick-off.

Managed by Lee Bowyer, the Bluenoses currently sit 19th in the Championship table, having picked up 12 points so far.

ONES TO WATCH
Matija Sarkic
The 24-year-old signed for Birmingham City on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers in July 2021. With Neil Ethridge recovering from COVID-19, Sarkic started the Bluenoses’ opening day fixture away to Sheffield United, keeping a clean sheet in the Club’s 1-0 win. Since then, the ‘keeper has started all 12 league games so far this season, keeping five clean sheets in the process.
Dion Sanderson
Sanderson joined the Bluenoses’ on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers ahead of the current campaign. He made his debut in First Team debut in the Club’s Carabao Cup Second Round match at Fulham. The defender went on to make his first league appearance in a 3-0 away defeat to Peterborough United. So far this season, the 21-year-old has made four appearances, and been an unused substitute three times.
Lukas Jutkiewicz
A familiar face to Town fans, the striker initially joined Birmingham on loan in August 2016. He put pen-to-paper on a permanent contract with the Club following the expiry of his loan. The 2020/21 campaign saw the 32-year-old make 42 appearances for the Bluenoses, bagging eight goals and three assists in the process. The current campaign has seen Jutkiewicz make 12 appearances for the Club and score one goal so far.
TEAM NEWS
Long-term absentees Jordan Rhodes, Pipa and Aaron Rowe will all be unavailable on Wednesday.
Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán will provide a further update on the fitness of his squad during his virtual press conference on Tuesday 19 October 2021.
