Town have partnered with blockchain-powered sports and entertainment NFT solution Jetcoin for the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup, with the business’ logo to appear on our shirt sleeve against Burnley FC on Saturday 8 January for our 12.30pm kick-off.
No stranger to football, Jetcoin have previously sponsored Italian Serie A teams, an EFL team and FA Cup games - not to mention digital banner advertising at 33 English Premier League matches.
As well their sleeve sponsorship of Town, Jetcoin have also agreed a digital partnership with the Club, which will see their brand appear on the perimeter LED banners at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Jetcoin CEO and founder Eric Alexandre commented:
“Being a sleeve sponsor of Huddersfield Town for this prestigious Emirates FA Cup game, together with digital sponsorship for the rest of the season, gives Jetcoin an unparalleled global exposure. We are looking forward to this exciting partnership!”
Town’s Commercial Director Ian Birtley added:
“We are delighted that Jetcoin has agreed to support our FA Cup journey with the sponsorship of our sleeve. Jetcoin is an exciting proposition within the blockchain space and we look forward to seeing the brand displayed on the sleeve and across our stadium digital assets for the remainder of the season.”
The 100-year anniversary of Town’s sole FA Cup triumph in 1922, this season’s 2021/22 home kit has been designed as a homage to the strip worn in the final a century ago.
Lifting the Cup thanks to a Billy Smith spot kick, the victory sparked a golden period for the Club, coming a few short years before the Thrice Champions made history by finishing at the summit of the old Division One in three consecutive seasons.
Coincidentally, that victorious FA Cup campaign also began against Burnley FC at Turf Moor, where Town will once again walk out with pride in our famous blue and white stripes to get our latest Cup campaign under way.
